Abstract: The Redistricting Game is a project that will create a game that simulates how legislative redistricting works. Using the experiential power of games to understand political redistricting and the power of the Internet to share those ideas with the voters, players will understand the basic principles of redistricting-- who does it, what their motivations are, and the impacts on communities and legislative representation. The game is designed to not have a right or wrong answer but to illustrate the problems- real and perceived- with redistricting.
