Description
Games+Learning+Society Conference 2008
The GLS Conference is about real-life people playing real-life video games, and what they learn from doing it; it fosters substantive discussion and collaboration among academics, designers, and educators interested in how game technologies — commercial games and others — can enhance learning, culture, and education.
The conference took place in Madison, WI at the Monona Terrace Hotel and Convention Center from July 10 to July 12.
Doug Thomas spoke on Friday, July 10th from 9:00am to 10:30am in the Hall of Ideas. His talk is titled: Moral Economies of Play: Learning and Citizenship in MMO Games.
Research Assistant, Shawna Kelly also spoke on Friday, July 10th from 11:00am to 12:30pm in the Hall of Ideas. Her talk is titled, Women & “Passing” in Online Games. We encourage you to view the entire program for other important talks and presentations.
